Photography is about finding that perfect balance between the creative vision and the technical capability. Throw in the challenges of running your own business, tricky mother-in-laws, and unpredictable weather and you have the super-challenging task of being a well-respected, profitable wedding photographer on your hands.
This workshop is focused on helping you transform from cautious to confident. We know what it takes to transition from second-shooter to first place – confidence in your craft, your equipment, your lighting, and your brand.
During this workshop you will work with Tricia and Kevin on all the aspects of what it takes to operate and execute as success-oriented wedding photographer. We will shoot on location at the scenic Hancock Shaker Village in Hancock, MA for two days – during this time we will work with live models on location. We will explore different lighting solutions and challenges. We will go over equipment – what lenses to bring, what flashes to have, how to manage it all. We will cover image management and editing workflow from capture to print. We will have conversations about social media, blogging, websites, and marketing. We’ll talk about building a strong brand identity and getting people to know about your passion.
The agenda will be about YOU – this is a hands-on workshop where you should bring your questions, your goals, and your vision (as well as your camera gear). This workshop isn’t about selling you more software, or selling you on more workshops – we want you to LEARN and take away the tools and knowledge you need to finally make that transition -whether it be to first-shooter, to have the confidence to change careers, to find that “must have” moment that will give you the confidence to change and move forward.
